How to mirror your iPhone to Chromecast
iPhone has no built-in way to mirror to a Chromecast. Here is how to do it in under a minute with a free app — no cables and nothing to install on your TV.
Why your iPhone can't do it on its own
The Screen Mirroring button in Control Center uses AirPlay, which only works with Apple TV and AirPlay-compatible TVs. Chromecast and Google TV use a different system, so they never show up in that list. Google's own apps can cast videos from inside a few apps, but they can't show your whole iPhone screen.
Relayo fills that gap: it mirrors your iPhone screen to any Chromecast or Google TV on your Wi‑Fi.
Mirror your iPhone in 4 steps
- Connect to the same Wi‑Fi. Your iPhone and your TV must be on the same network. If your router has separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, use the same one on both.
- Open Relayo. Your Chromecast or Google TV appears in the device list within a few seconds. No account or pairing code needed.
- Tap your TV and choose Mirror screen.
- Start the broadcast. iPhone asks for confirmation once. After that, your screen — with sound — appears on the TV.
Good to know
- Mirroring runs a few seconds behind — fine for photos, presentations and video, not for gaming.
- Quality adapts to your Wi‑Fi automatically. If the picture stutters, move closer to the router or set quality to Automatic.
- Netflix, Disney+ and other streaming services show a black screen when mirrored. That protection comes from iOS, not from Relayo.
- Relayo works on iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
